Short description of the project:
Developing a tourist route model with special therapeutic activities in natural open locations using garden and bee therapy, informal education, and cross-sectoral knowledge exchange to improve the mental health of women and children from Ukraine traumatized by the war; will also present example of good practice model of social care infrastructure to tackle common public health challenges.
Garden therapy is an emerging field in SK, continuously evolving and gaining recognition. Alej na Prameni is a place that, since the beginning of its creation, has been intensively working with the idea of providing a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for vulnerable groups of the population. This place is situated in a quiet area and adapted precisely so that the garden with an apiary has a calming effect and develops the potential of its visitors. The atmosphere of the garden encourages the expansion of its portfolio of activities towards adults and children with specific needs, who respond excellently to the natural environment and targeted "therapeutic" activities. SK Team will organize a residential therapy relaxation activity for UA participants with the aim of mitigating the negative impacts of the war on their lives. The established cooperation with the UA partner also opens up space for supporting the UA community in SK. UA partner will have the positions of mentors in the project and have the opportunity to familiarize the public with the health-improving and therapeutic effects of bee products, in particular on the mental state to the public.
