The story of the garden
Alej na Prameni came to life in the spring of 2022 as a green space accessible to the public, offering a variety of opportunities for pleasant and meaningful leisure activities throughout the year. Its form has been shaped from the beginning through participatory efforts, with the support and help of ordinary people and volunteers.
Throughout the year, you can experience a diverse range of activities with us – from our popular fragrant and relaxing floral workshops, to creative workshops for children, a day summer camp, informal education for schools, community planting events, a community picnic, and musical or art events. In the summer, you can look forward to movie nights or stargazing.
We'd love to introduce you to the world of bees, as you'll also find a small apiary here. You can stroll among the colorful perennial flower beds, walk through the meadow, or wander through the lavender field.
We are building Alej with enthusiasm, experience, and the belief that such places can connect, support, inspire, and enrich. Come and see, hear, and smell for yourself. It's colorful, fragrant, and peaceful here.
The idea of creating the garden has gained many supporters from the surrounding area and beyond from the very beginning, because in the ever-densifying construction, it remains accessible green space for a large number of residents from the surrounding housing estates, also providing a social, cultural, and educational dimension. Today, a linden alley has been planted, along with ornamental and fruit trees, dozens of edible shrubs, honey-bearing perennials, a permanent meadow, and an established apiary.
The atmosphere of the garden encourages the expansion of its activity portfolio towards children with special needs, who respond excellently to the natural environment and targeted "therapeutic" activities in line with supporting their sensory perception through natural elements.
That is precisely why, since the spring of 2025, we have been intensively dedicated to so-called Garden Therapy.
Civic Association
The Civic Association Alej na Prameni is an association of citizens who, through its activities, create a stimulating environment for the residents of the Prameň residential district and its surrounding areas (such as the Klokočina and Diely housing estates), with the aim of supporting mutual coexistence within the community. We organize events that enable meaningful leisure time, foster mutual acquaintance, connect generations, and help preserve traditions.Experienced and enthusiastic team
The members of the project team have many years of experience in developing and implementing projects in educational settings, as well as in the social and cultural sectors. They have worked extensively with children and youth, and have expertise in community and environmental issues, as well as in project management.
